Sagrada Familia I had admired Gaudi's work after studying it tangentially, so he was on the short list of must see items during a recent visit to Barcelona. It was similar to my first Grand Canyon visit. Photographs do not do it justice. Guadi's work is an emtional and organic experience. Hopefully, I have captured some of that feeling through color and point of view in this painting. Watercolor on Arches 22 x 15 $700 |

Le Calavon and Pont Julien Touring the Provence Region of France I came upon Pont Julien, a Roman bridge spanning the Calavon. Other versions I have completed show more of the entire span but I particularly like the cropped shape of the central arch. Using that shape as a backdrop to the field of red poppies and yellow wildflowers in the foreground created a more dramatic composition. 15 x 11 $350 |

Storm Clouds Over the Garden While enjoying lunch with the Waterloo Watercolor bunch we were treated to this image as storm clouds began to gather over the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. I try to carry a camera to capture such moments and, luckily, preparation and the moment converged. I worked from photograph and memory to capture the softness of the clouds beginning to fill the mountains in the background.
