Wapiti Trail Aspens I returned to my Colorado studio in late September this year, a week later than planned and hit the turning of the aspens at their peak. What a great opportunity to field test my new "plein air" set-up! I spent three days painting on the western slope of Pikes Peak. This view was in Meuller State Park at the Wapiti Trailhead.
